Sure, Amsterdam is a huge cultural hub, but let’s not forget that the Dutch city is also a perfect place to party. And one of the best spots to do so is Jimmy Woo, the elegant nightclub with a quirky Asian-themed twist. Black couches, circular booths, and bright purple lights line the upstairs level, giving guests a peak into the imaginary “Mr. Woo’s” home. Meanwhile, sheer curtains divide a more exclusive section, appropriately set upon a lit-up pedestal. Throughout the night, the club’s chic, elegant, and international clientele can be seen on the upstairs level chatting over seemingly limitless bottles. But after 1am, the party really gets started, as Leidseplein’s stylish set slowly slinks downstairs to dance beneath the alluring special effects of 12,000 lightbulbs. While many associate Amsterdam’s nightlife with house and techno, Jimmy Woo is all about a more funky playlist full of bumping bass. It’s no wonder the place has been considered one of the most elite in all of the Dam.
